Nestled among the rolling hills of Real County, in south-central Texas, sits Wellspring Ranch, a true year-round Texas Hill Country experience. Whether you’re interested in our stellar hunting and fishing or you’re simply looking for opportunities to relax and escape, Wellspring has something to offer.
As our guest, you’ll enjoy some of the most beautiful Hill Country views in Texas. The Wellspring Ranch sits on 321 acres of unadulterated, high-fenced land covered in lush, green pastures of indigenous grasses and brush stitched together with mature oak, pecan, and mesquite trees. The property is bisected by +/- 2,500 feet of Camp Hood Creek (spring fed) which alternates between tranquil stretches of turquoise water; deep, cool swimming holes; and shallow, bubbling rapids for your fishing/swimming/floating enjoyment. As a result of our plentiful water, our furtive soils, and our year-round feeding and management efforts, Wellspring has flourished as an exceptional hunting experience. The ranch is home to a variety of native and exotic species including South Texas, Northern, and Hill Country Whitetail, Axis, Blackbuck, Fallow, Rio Grand Turkey, dove, Gray Fox, and many others.
As you wander down our winding, manicured road and across the creek, you’ll come upon Wellspring’s lodging amenities. We invite you to make yourself at home in our rustic, Hill Country-style compound comprised of a four bedroom/two bath main house, a pair of one bedroom/one bath guesthouses, a detached game/entertainment room (including a fireplace and a television), and a beautiful, native stone patio (the perfect place to do a little star gazing) complete with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. In addition, we have a three-stall horse barn and a hay barn with a full bath and sleeping for five.
